4390 Taxi Firenze was founded on 17 November 1971 and has been putting quality and passion into it ever since. Today, more than 500 taxi drivers, including a hundred women, and 29 collaborators work with 4390. There are 320 members. The current Board of Directors combines the experience of figures who have been committed to making 4390 a Florentine excellence for over a decade, and figures with new energy. Continuity and novelty then!
In 2007, 4390 was a founding member of the Union of Radiotaxis of Italy, which today represents the most capillary Italian association in the sector, involving almost 70 cities and over 12,000 taxi drivers.
For the radio taxi, which is based in Via della Casella in Florence, mobility is green: it was the first in Tuscany to equip itself with an electric taxi, 80% of its fleet is made up of electric and hybrid cars, and its new power station is totally powered by solar energy: an investment of almost 2 million euros that clearly marks this company’s desire to look to the future with confidence.
Thus, to date, 4390 Taxi Firenze is the only radio taxi company in Europe (and perhaps in the world) to be completely powered by clean energy, having solar energy storage systems and fast recharging of electric cars.
Due to the special attention it has always paid to modern technology, the 4390 is now equipped with the most modern radio taxi technology on the market, providing its customers with universal calling systems: telephone, messaging and app (Taxi Move).
The company also offers exclusive services to its customers, who can recharge their smartphones on board free of charge. It is also the only Italian radio taxi to have devised a Maternity Taxi service, dedicated to women who are expecting a baby; but in any case, everyone can travel in safety, with the taxi driver accompanying them all the way to their homes at night, leaving only when they enter their door.
